A Dear friend of mine Larry Schlabach very recently passed away and he asked me before he passed to send a thank you for the credit cards with money, he was awarded through the Brent Ohl fund. He was so thankful and appreciated the kindness so much!
Larry was diagnosed March of 2020 with Pancreatic Cancer and had surgery. The Dr. informed him in Iowa City that with it came back it would most likely be in his liver and that is what happened. Around Christmas the scan showed a large mass. Unfortunately, Larry passed on February 27th, 2021. Surrounded by his family and special friend Naomi Sundquist who was there to care for Larry through all of it. Larry was a friend to everyone and will be so missed.
Pancreatic Cancer has changed my life and Naomi’s life forever my dear Mother (Naomi’s sister) was diagnosed 6-7-18 and passed on 9-5-19 after a hard-fought battle. Then Larry who she shared a special love with.
We are so sorry for the loss of your dear husband Brent and everything your family went through. Pancreatic Cancer is a horrible disease that we must make progress on diagnosing earlier.
